Overview
The Blaine Swimming & Diving Booster Club was formed as a support organization for both the Girls and Boys Swim and Dive Teams. The Booster Club has regular monthly meetings throughout the year, organizes fundraisers, manages the team website and oversees the funds raised for the team.
The Booster Club also coordinates and leads the largest team fundraising event, the Annual Blaine Swim & Dive Fall Arts, Crafts and Vendor Show.
The Booster Club provides the primary source of funds for both teams. All spending from the Booster Club requires approval by two-thirds of the Booster’s Board of Directors at a minimum according to the bylaws.
The Board of Directors has six members; president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, boys’ team at-large parent, and girls’ team at-large parent.
Accomplishments
In 2013, Anoka-Hennepin School District, Blaine Swimming and Diving Booster Club, and the Coon Rapids Swimming and Diving Booster Club jointly purchased a state-of-the-art LED video scoreboard which was installed at Northdale Middle School pool. This scoreboard allows for more information to be displayed during races, advertising during invitational meets, and displays photos to celebrate athletes throughout the seasons.
